Šajā darbā tiek pētītas jaunas alternatīvas mācību prakses vācu valodas kā svešvalodas mācīšanai pieaugušajiem un demonstrētas jaunas pieejas šo mācību optimizēšanai. Svarīgākais instruments ir vairāku valodu izmantošana mācību laikā, īpaši, latviešu un angļu. Šī darba mērķis ir pārbaudīt un pilnveidot pašlaik valodu apguves procesā izmantotās metodoloģijas piemērotību. Darbā izklāstīts pētāmā jautājuma teorētiskais pamatojums; praktiskajā daļā īpaši detalizēti tiek analizēti jauni, autora izstrādāti valodas mācību materiāli.
Promoting youth entrepreneurship and employability through non-formal and informal learning: the Latvia case

This paper presents some results of the research on ‘Adult education resources to reduce youth unemployment’, which is a part of the project ‘Implementation of the European agenda for adult learning’. The research applies a mixed-method approach (quantitative and qualitative data analysis). The purpose of the paper is to identify the most/least-efficient non-formal and informal learning methods, forms, and initiatives to promote youth entrepreneurship and employability in Latvia as well as to show the relationship between the profile of young adults and their opinion on these methods, forms, and initiatives. Predicting sediment deposition rate in check-dams using machine learning techniques and high-resolution DEMs

Sediments accumulated in check dams are a valuable measure to estimate soil erosion rates. Here, geographic information systems (GIS) and three machine learning techniques (MARS-multivariate adaptive regression splines, RF-random forest and SVM-support vector machine) were used, for the first time, to predict sediment deposition rate (SR) in check-dams located in six watersheds in SW Spain. There, 160 dry-stone check dams (~ 77.8 check-dams km−2), accumulated sediments during a period that varied from 11 to 23 years. Diplomdarba pētījums tika veikts, lai labāk izprastu iekļaujošās izglītības idejas praktisko pielietojumu situācijās, kad angļu valodas skolotājam jāstrādā arī ar skolēniem, kuriem ir mācīšanās traucējumu pazīmes. Diplomdarba mērķis bija noskaidrot, kādi valodas mācīšanās paņēmieni var palīdzēt sākumskolas skolēniem ar dažādiem mācīšanās traucējumiem angļu valodas mācīšanās veicināšanai. Par pētījuma metodi tika izvēlēts gadījuma pētījums. ABSTRACT This paper analyzes the impact of innovative education tools-in this case, based on experimental methodology-on the acquisition of theoretical knowledge among management students. The study incorporates a clear split-sample design using two equivalent, randomly created groups.
